Introduction: Chronic kidney disease stage 3B are considered an important stage in slowing down kidney deterioration. Especially those who have co-morbidities such as Uncontrolled type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
Research objectives: To develop and study the effectiveness of a Clinical Nursing Practice Guideline for Care of Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 3B with Uncontrolled type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
Research methodology: The sample was divided into 4 stages: 1) Evidence-triggered phase and 2) Evidence-support phase. The sample consisted of 10 register nurses and 5 experts. The tools were a brainstorming guideline and AGREE II. 3) Evidence-observed phase. The sample consisted of 10 patients and register nurses in each group. The tools were a knowledge, behavior, and clinical data questionnaire and a satisfaction assessment form. 4) Evidence-based phase. The sample consisted of 10 register nurses.
Results: The CNPG were 92.86 % over all and 90.00-98.33 % for each item by AGREE II. After using the CNPG, patients' knowledge and self-management behaviors increased significantly at .05. There was no significant difference in clinical data at .05. Satisfaction was at the highest level.
Conclusion: The CNPG are effective in knowledge and self-management behaviors in patients with chronic kidney disease stage 3B with Uncontrolled type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
Implications: The CNPG can be applied in the organization and for the development of nursing quality and future research, the long-term results should be evaluated and the target group for trial should be expanded.
