Abstract

Introduction: Monitoring high-risk pregnant women helps them access healthcare services, receive continuous risk screening and assessment, and obtain immediate nursing and treatment if there are signs of potential complications during pregnancy.

Research objective: To develop a model for monitoring high-risk pregnant women within the public health coordination network in Nonsa-ad District, Udonthani

Research methodology: This study employed Research and Development (R&D) methods, applying the principles of practice development based on The IOWA Model of Evidence-Based Practice to Promote Quality of Care. The process involved five steps across three continuous development phases. The purposive sample included 25 healthcare staff members and 29 high-risk pregnant women. Phase 1 involved analyzing and clearly identifying problems. Phase 2 focused on developing a prototype with input from experts and conducting pilot testing. Phase 3 involved refining the prototype and implementing it. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis. Key points were summarized, and data reliability was ensured via individual data verification and group processes.

Results: The developed model for monitoring high-risk pregnant women using Telehealth includes 1) Seamless network & Spiritual 2) Education & Encourages 3) Consult & Counseling and 4) Telehealth & Follow. Healthcare staff expressed a very high level of agreement with the overall model ( =4.27, S.D. =0.70) and high-risk pregnant women reported a high level of satisfaction with the overall model ( =4.06, S.D. =0.86).

Conclusion: The monitoring model was systematically developed and is suitable for application in monitoring high-risk pregnant women.

Suggestions: Access to services should be expanded to ensure comprehensive care for pregnant women in all dimensions. Awareness of personal health conditions should be enhanced, and health-promoting behaviors should be encouraged.
