The Model Development of Event base Surveillance System that Affect Public Health by Community at Border Thailand – Cambodia in Surin Province, 2014 – 2016

Abstract

The study aimed to develop surveillance system that affect public health by community
at border Thailand and Cambodia in Surin province. Research and development was designed for
this study. The samples were 40 people who are the leaders of Phonthong Village,Dan sub-district
and BanJaroke Village, Kasetthavorn sub-district, Kabchoeng district Surin province. The result show
that both villagers have set up surveillance system about uncommon events that required to set up

by leader of community and health volunteers. Moreover; surveillance system found 25 uncommon
events include 11 events and 14 events in human and animal respectively. The reports 100 percents
of accuracy and timely, completeness of reports to inform information were 40 percents. Participant
of people were shown 90.93 percents, they concerned events that effected with health. In addition,
most people agreed to set up surveillance system.In conclusion, for development for surveillance
system should be managed by community while government should be supported academic and budget
for operations.
