พฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองและการควบคุมระดับน้ำตาลในเลือดของผู้ป่วยสูงอายุโรคเบาหวาน โรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมสุขภาพตำบล อำเภอบางคนที จังหวัดสมุทรสงคราม

การวิจัยภาคตัดขวางนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับความรู้เกี่ยวกับโรคเบาหวาน การได้รับการสนับสนุนทางสังคม พฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเอง ความสามารถในการควบคุมระดับน้ำตาลในเลือด และปัจจัยที่สัมพันธ์กับความสามารถในการควบคุมระดับน้ำตาลในเลือด กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นผู้สูงอายุโรคเบาหวาน จำนวน 305 คน คัดเลือกโดยการสุ่มแบบง่าย เครื่องมือวิจัยเป็นแบบสอบถาม ความเที่ยงรายองค์ประกอบ ได้แก่ ความรู้เรื่องโรคเบาหวาน เท่ากับ 0.70 การได้รับการสนับสนุนทางสังคม เท่ากับ 0.92 และพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเอง เท่ากับ 0.78 และแบบบันทึกข้อมูล วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา และ Chi-square test ผลการศึกษา พบว่า
1. ผู้ป่วยโรคเบาหวาน มีความรู้เกี่ยวกับโรคเบาหวานอยู่ในระดับต่ำ ร้อยละ 71.2 ได้รับการสนับสนุนทางสังคมในระดับสูง รองลงมา ร้อยละ 46.9 และ ได้รับการสนับสนุนในระดับปานกลาง และระดับต่ำ ร้อยละ 34.1 และ 19.0 ตามลำดับ มีพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองในระดับปานกลางร้อยละ 71.5 และสามารถควบคุมระดับน้ำตาลในเลือดได้ ร้อยละ 49.2
2. ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับความสามารถในการควบคุมระดับน้ำตาลในเลือดอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ คือ พฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเอง (P =044) ส่วนความรู้เกี่ยวกับโรคเบาหวาน และการได้รับการสนับสนุนทางสังคม ไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กับความสามารถในการควบคุมระดับน้ำตาลในเลือด
ดังนั้นบุคลากรสาธารณสุขควรส่งเสริมให้ผู้ป่วยโรคเบาหวานมีการปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองเพื่อให้สามารถการควบคุมระดับน้ำตาลในเลือดซึ่งจะสามารถลดภาวะแทรกซ้อนได้
