Perception Humanized-Cared Behaviors of Nursing Students in academic year 2019 of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Ratchaburi

Abstract

The descriptive study aimed to investigate humanized care behaviors of the nursing students perceived by the nursing students. The populations were 486 nursing students year 1-4 in academic year 2019. The instruments were the graduate identity and interview guide focus on humanized care. The researchers analyzed the data using statistics for mean, and standard deviation. The qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis. The study findings revealed as follows: 

       Humanized health care behaviors perceived by the nursing students year 3 were rated at the very good level (μ= 4.48, σ=0.51) The nursing students year 1, 2, and 4 rated humanized care behaviors in  good levels (μ=4.26, σ=0.59; μ=4.37, σ= 0.58; μ=4.41, σ= 0.56 respectively). The nursing students year 1 learned about self understand and those of others. The student year 2 understand differences views of health care providers and clients.. The nursing students year 3 understand the clients as being in reality. They improved cognitive skill and analytical thinking. The nursing students year 4 understand barriers of health care systems did not respond to the clients’ need and gaps in providing health care.

       The curriculum and teaching and learning administration of the college need to plan every nursing course to have teaching and learning process focusing on understanding in  human, communities and society, including understanding in the reality of clients in order to integrate with professional knowledge.
