Factors Affecting Doing Research among the Personnel of Ban Pong Hospital, Ratchaburi Province

The purpose of this descriptive research was to study the factors affecting doing research among the personnel of Ban Pong Hospital. The samples were 262 personnel. The reliability of research instrument, questionnaire about doing research and doing research behavior were 0.82 and 0.99, respectively. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. The results revealed as follows;
1. As for doing research among the personnel of Ban Pong Hospital, it was found that 22.5% of them experienced doing research, 51.1% were interested in doing research, 39% were interested in experimental research, 45.52% desired to do research, and 64.4% used their personal budget.
2. As for attitude towards doing research, research skills, and job description can predict the research conduction of the personnel by 11.80 (R2adj = 0.118 p<.05). The attitude towards doing research affected the research conduction at the highest level (Beta = .555, p<.01), followed by research skills and job description (Beta =.193, p<.05; Beta =.176, p<.05), respectively.
Therefore, the administrator should promote the attitude towards research, research skills, budget allocation combined with other supporting factors in order to create incentives and promote research conduction among the personnel.
