Nursing care for cerebrovascular disease with comorbid conditions : Comparative case studies

Abstract

        Stroke is caused by abnormalities in blood vessels that occur suddenly. and is a chronic non-communicable disease that is an important public health problem of the country  The purpose of this study was to compare the nursing care of 2 stroke patients with comorbid conditions. The instruments used in this study were patient medical records and data records. Comparison issues included morbidity data, health care schemes, nursing care, health risk factors, complications, and information about treatment. The results of the study found that

              Case Study 1 had a congenital disease as high blood pressure. The doctor diagnosed an acute ischemic stroke with a thrombolytic drug rt-PA, and the patient's symptoms returned to normal. No disabilities were found. Able to perform daily routines as usual

              Case Study 2 had congenital disease such as high blood pressure, thyroid and cardiac arrhythmias. Acute ischemic stroke was diagnosed by fibrinolytic drug rt-PA when CT brain was repeated Acute large left MCA territorial infarction.

        The overall study found differences in both personal factors and nursing care of patients born. Complications after receiving thrombolytic drugs Professional nurses play an important role in caring for critically ill patients. Therefore, professional nurses need both competence and the ability to apply empirical evidence in holistic nursing to reduce patient mortality and disability.
