The Development of self-management skills on eating behaviors for Delayed Chronic Kidney Disease in CKD Clinic Watphleng Hospital

The purpose of this research to study the effect of model for self-management skills in eating behaviors for delayed chronic kidney disease. The simple random sampling consisted of 30 participants. The research instruments were the model of self-management skills on eating behaviors including educating about chronic kidney disease, and self-management skill training, including 6 processes as: 1) goal selecting, 2) information collection, 3) information processing and evaluation, 4) decision making, 5) action, and 6) self-reaction. The program was conducted for 24 weeks. The data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics such as percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The results revealed that after receiving the self-management program, the mean score of eating behaviors of sample group was statistically increased at the 0.05 level.
It is recommended that the self-management program should be applied at CKD clinic continuously to promote good behaviors in patients chronic kidney.
