Factors Affecting to Service Behaviors of Personnel in Kuiburi Hospital, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study 1) the level of service behavior of personnel, work motivation, participative management, and social support of personnel and 2) factors influencing service behavior of personnel in Kui Buri Hospital, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.The sample consisted of 95 personnel. Research instruments were service behavior questionnaire. Reliability by using Cronbach's alpha coefficient of subscale includes work motivation, participative management, and social support and service behavior were 0.88, 0.84, 0.91 and 0.86, respectively. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that

1. Work motivation, participative management, social support and service behavior of personnel were at a moderate level (M = 3.08, SD=0.48; M= 2.48, SD=0.62; M= 2.76, SD=0.57 และ M= 3.01, SD=0.48, respectively).

2. Work motivation, participative management, social support can statistically significantly predict service behavior of personnel at 54.70 (R2adj =.547, p<.05). Moreover, Motivation was able to predict service behavior at the highest (Beta= .635; p<.01), followed by social support and participative management (Beta =.461, p<.05; Beta =.201, p<.05, respectively).

Therefore, to promote service behavior of personnel should be created work motivation, social support, and provide an opportunity to manage participation in order to work motivation that leads to better service behaviors in the future
