Abstract

Critically ill patients who require mechanical ventilation often experience significant physical and psychological distress due to complex treatment processes, communication barriers, and the high-stress environment of intensive care units (ICUs). Humanized health care emphasizes patients' dignity, individuality, and holistic needs, aiming to enhance their quality of life, well-being, and recovery. This article proposes the application of humanized health care principles in the nursing management of mechanically ventilated patients. Key components include effective communication, emotional and psychological support, family involvement, and ethical care practices. Integrating patient-centered approaches based on humanized care can help foster a healing environment, preserve human dignity, and ultimately improve both nursing care quality and the overall efficiency of the healthcare system.
