Model of Promoting Child Development using the Participation of Parents in Preschool Development Center Boromarajonani College of Nursing Ratchaburi

This study was an action research aimed at exploring a model for promoting child development using the participation of parents in Preschool Development Center, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Ratchaburi. The participants included parents and preschool children aged 2–4 years who attended the center, totaling 18 individuals, selected by purposive sampling. The data collection tools comprised questionnaires, child development assessment forms, interviews, focus group discussions, and observations. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis. The results indicated that
1. The model for promoting child development consisted of four stages: 1) gathering opinions to analyze problems, assess needs, and identify strategies to promote child development, (2) planning the implementation, (3) executing the plan, and (4) concluding and evaluating the outcomes.
2. As a result of this process, parents demonstrated a very high level of knowledge regarding the promotion of child development and practiced child developmental stimulation at a good level. Moreover, 88.88% of children achieved age-appropriate development across multiple domains, including motor skills, self-help and social skills, fine motor and cognitive abilities, language comprehension, and language use.
Therefore, the promotion of early childhood development should emphasize parental involvement in stimulating all aspects of a child’s growth, ensuring that children have the opportunity to learn and develop in an age-appropriate manner.
