Abstract

Hypopigmented mycosis fungoides is an unusual form of mycosis fungoides which is often presented in young patients with dark skin color. There were some reports of this entity in adult Caucasian patients as well as dark skin-colored patients. We report a case of 61-year-old Thai female with Fitzpatrick’s skin phototype II. She presented with multiple, well-defined, hypopigmented macules and patches on trunk, right side of thigh and left side of knee. The histopathology and immunohistochemistry findings were compatible with patch stage (stage IA) mycosis fungoides. She was successfully treated with PUVA therapy. We suggested that hypopigmented mycosis fungoides should be included in differential diagnosis for all patients who manifested with hypopigmented skin lesions.
