Reflection on lesson learned from the group support in family caregiver of Dementia patients.
This article aims to present major concepts of group support and reflection on lesson learned from the group support in family caregivers of dementia patients. In providing continuous support group, family caregivers gain benefits on emotional support and knowledge in self-care. Furthermore, they will be able to accept behaviors of dementia patients and get more opportunity in sharing their knowledge and experience of care among group members. However, the major problems are the frequently schedule changes and caring unskills of family caregivers as well as health professionals.
