Quality medication for patient safety

Abstract

This project was organized to decrease medication errors  and  develop the knowledge and skills to staff  with the establishment of  the committee of management approaches on medication safety ,pediatrics department in Thammasat University Hospital  for  analysis conference development solutions medication error ,provide training to educate staff ,assessing medication management visit and  hearing problems from the authorities, provide activities for medication errors reporting , create guidelines for medication administration and summary of project .

The results of the project that Medication administration error rate in C-I levels (in 2017) of 8.22/1,000 Length of Stay (target≤2/1000 Length of Stay).  Then the results of the visit 5 units (2 times) have shown that staff properly accounted for 85.63%. Besides, We had an increase medication administration safety guideline to reduce drug administration errors.
