Efficiency of parents' behavior changing process to decrease bottle feeding, snack and dental risk behavior in child development center Tambon Wanghong Amphur Muang, Phrae

Abstract

This community intervention research aimed to study the efficiency of parents' behavior changing process to decrease bottle feeding, snack and dental health risk behavior in child development center Tambon Wanghong Amphur Muang, Phrae Province, studying in two child development centers. Wanghong child development center was assigned as study group, A-I-C process in the parents' group were given. Takam child development center was assigned as control group, without A IC process. The result showed that the baseline data were not difference. After A-I-C process the study group did not find bottle feeding, decreased snack and after - lunch tooth brushing 100%. The control group, non-bottle - feeding were 48.3% (P < 0.001). It is suggested that AIC in parents' group should be continuous every year to booster their parents to take care of their childrent. Other communities can modify this model to their health promotion projects.
