Abstract
The study of the DENTAL file quality according to the 50 files standard of medical and health information structures of the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) purposed to compare accuracy, completeness, validity, and concordance of patient's teeth and gums examination and the needs of promotion, prevention, and treatment. The data recorded from 1 October 2013 to 31 March 2014 was 2,022,977 records, and 11,190,659 records from 1 October 2016 to 31 March 2017. In fiscal year 2014, the data recorded within service day had increased from 2017, but less than 80 percent. The data also had a higher proportion of accuracy, completeness, and validity. All data items had more than 90 percent accuracy. The completion of almost all data items was higher than 90 percent, except for the prosthesis type. Almost all data items except tooth numbers of all age groups and prosthesis type of elderly group had validity higher than 90 percent. Concordance of all items of school children, elderly and preschool children was lower than 80 percent of which oral health and service plans of all age groups had the lowest concordance.
Validity and concordance of school children data were lower than in other groups and lower than standard criteria. Although the school children data was reported as a key performance indicator of the MOPH inspection system. Therefore, the clarified definition of each data item should be improved and continue to inform the relevant personnel for understanding and improvement of data recording skills.
