ภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมและสถานการณ์ปัจจุบัน กรณีศึกษา: ชุมชนมอญสังขละบุรี จ.กาญจนบุรี

Abstract

                 การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการหาลักษณะของภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมมอญ สถานการณ์ปัจจุบันและแนวโน้มในการเปลี่ยนแปลงของพื้นที่ในอนาคตของชุมชนมอญ อำเภอสังขละบุรี  จังหวัดกาญจนบุรีต่อไป โดยการใช้เครื่องมือการศึกษาคือการสำรวจทำแผนที่ การสัมภาษณ์ ศึกษาข้อมูลจากแหล่งข้อมูลต่าง ๆ ของชุมชน ศึกษาสถานการณ์ปัจจุบันจากสื่อแขนงต่าง ๆ เพื่อนำมาวิเคราะห์ถึงลักษณะภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมของชุมชน และสังเคราะห์เพื่อให้ได้พื้นที่ที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของชุมชน เมื่อได้มาซึ่งภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมของชุมชนแล้วจึงวิเคราะห์สถานการณ์ปัจจุบันของชุมชนเพื่อหาแนวทางในการจัดการ ภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมของพื้นที่ต่อไป ทั้งนี้จากการศึกษาพบว่า 1. ชุมชนมอญสังขละบุรีมีลักษณะภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรม คือ บริเวณชุมชน ซึ่งมีลักษณะเรือนพักอาศัยที่มีเอกลักษณ์ที่หิ้งพระมอญที่ยื่นออกมาจากตัวบ้าน เรือนเครื่องสับที่สร้างจากไม้ไผ่มีลวดลายผนังและรั้วกั้นที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ ประกอบกับลักษณะภูมิประเทศที่เป็นเชิงเขา บ้านเรือนลดหลั่นกันไปตามลำดับความสูง บริเวณสะพานไม้อุตตมานุสรณ์ซึ่งเป็นสะพานไม้ที่ยาวที่สุดในประเทศไทยและเป็นอันดับ 2 ของโลก รวมไปถึงวิถีชีวิตชาวน้ำและเรือนแพใกล้เคียง บริเวณวัดเก่าจมน้ำซึ่งเกิดจากการสร้างเขื่อนวชิราลงกรณ์ สะท้อนถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางธรณีวิทยา สภาพแวดล้อมและวิถีชีวิตของผู้คน 2. สถานการณ์ปัจจุบันของพื้นที่จากการที่มีนักท่องเที่ยวเข้ามาอย่างล้นหลามทำให้ชุมชนเกิดความเปลี่ยนแปลงหลายด้าน ส่งผลถึงวิถีชีวิตและภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรม คือ เปลี่ยนอาชีพเป็นค้าขาย จัดกิจกรรมใหม่ขึ้นเพื่อการท่องเที่ยว การเปลี่ยนลักษณะอาคารเป็นอาคารสมัยใหม่หรือโรงแรมเพื่อรองรับการเข้าพักของนักท่องเที่ยว ทำให้ชาวบ้านทั่วไปได้รับผลกระทบต่อวิถีชีวิตประจำวัน รวมถึงอาคารใหม่ที่ขาดลักษณะเฉพาะของบ้านเรือนแบบมอญที่มีมากขึ้นจนวัฒนธรรมมอญเริ่มถูกกลืนหายไป

                The aim of this research is to find features of Mon’s cultural landscape, current situations, and possible trend of area changing in the future of Mon community, Sangkhlaburi district, Kanchanaburi province. Research tools of this study are survey for mapping, interviews, data research from various sources, study current situations from several types of media in order to analyze the features of cultural landscape in community and synthesize them to find its signature places in community. Once the cultural landscape of community is finalized, then analyze the current situations of the community to find some methods to manage cultural landscape in the next step. 1. Mon’s cultural landscape in Sangkhlaburi district consist of traditional structure as Wat Wang Wiwekaram, Bodh Gaya, and the underwater temple. Other inhabited and living structure is community area, which are Thai-Mon housing style, and Mon Bridge, including geographical features, vegetation and settlement patterns which created the attractive and valuable cultural landscape of the area. 2. Current situations of the area have been changing in many aspects since there are many tourists came to visit the community. The effects to way of life and cultural landscape are the change of way of life, occupations, and the usage or types of structures have been changed to modern structures or hotel styles in order to host guests. It effects to of everyday life of local people. Moreover, the modern structures lack of Mon’s identity and it made Mon’s cultural disappeared.
