Abstract

              ความเสมือนจริงอย่างที่สุดบนระนาบสองมิติคือลักษณะจำเพาะทางกายภาพของภาพถ่าย และเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญที่ทำให้ภาพถ่ายเป็นสื่อทรงพลังในโลกสมัยใหม่ ภาพถ่ายถูกลดคุณค่าลงจากฐานะงานศิลปะเนื่องจากความหลากหลายในการนำไปใช้โดยเฉพาะการใช้งานเชิงพาณิชย์ ในขณะเดียวกันศิลปินจำนวนไม่น้อยเลือกใช้ภาพถ่ายเป็นสื่อในการสร้างงาน เพราะเชื่อมั่นในศักยภาพและความเป็นศิลปะของมัน

             บทความชิ้นนี้ศึกษาการใช้ภาพถ่ายในงานศิลปะที่มีความเชื่อมโยงกับกระบวนการทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ประสาทสัมผัสและประสบการณ์การรับรู้ของมนุษย์ ชี้ให้เห็นกระบวนการทางความคิดและแก่นสำคัญที่ทำให้ได้มาซึ่งงานศิลปะภาพถ่าย หรืองานศิลปะที่มีภาพถ่ายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในชิ้นงาน

               Two dimensional virtual images are the physical characteristics of photography which has turned photography into one of the most powerful communication tools in modern culture. Since photography is widely commercialized, the value of it as an art form has diminished. In the same time there are many artists who still believe in the impact of photography and use it as a tool to express their art work.

             The aim of this research is to study the connection between art photography, scientific procedures, sense and experience of human perception. To show the thinking process and the way of producing art photography.
