Abstract

                  The topic is “The guidelines for management on factors that affect the security management model of Special Economic Zone, Sadao district, Songkhla province” for develop a security management approach in the Special Economic Zone of the border town of Sadao District Songkhla Province is suitable for people and has potential in the context of the area. The research objective: 1.To studies the security issues in the dimension of the crime and the South Thailand insurgency, affecting the Special Economic Zone, Sadao District of Songkhla Province. 2. To study guideline for management on factor that the affects the security management on the Special Economic Zone, Sadao District, Songkhla Province, to suit the area and the people. The research methodology: Quantitative research (survey research: Questionnaire) and Qualitative research (Interview). The study survey research: Questionnaire consists of Phase 1 study of "public attitudes towards the problem and ways to prevent and suppress the insurgency and crime in its special economic zone". Phase 2 studies of "the development guidelines to special economic zone of border security management Sadao District, Songkhla Province to a potential and the appropriate for the area and the people, and phase 3 study of "Determine the suitability of the approach to development issues crime and security problems of the border city's special economic zone". Part 1 uses the questionnaire as a research tool and the population of the study were divided into 3 groups: group 1 People (380 person), group 2 government officials (100 person) and group 3 Interested investors of special economic zone (100 person). And the interview topics "The guidelines for management on factors that affect the security management model of Special Economic Zone, Sadao district, Songkhla province” Interviews with security and public security representatives: Security's representative 3 person and People's Representative 4 person. The study indicated that the majority of respondents agreed with the current security management model. And most agree that the form of security management is consistent with the security issues of today. But some problems have to be adjusted. It is defined as a form of security management in a special economic zone on the border town to sample it and see it as a form suitable for use. The experts and scholars to review the advantages of the area and that it should deal with security problems by developing a management model for safety and the factors that affect the current security management model are as follows: 1."Ignorance and not understanding" 2."The confidence in the potential of government staffs and unconvinced” 3."Bias and Anti” and 4."Declining Public Relationship". The trial in the following areas.
