ที่พักอาศัยและพื้นที่ค้าขายอย่างไทยในกรุงเทพมหานคร (Thai Style Residential And Commercial Building In Bangkok)

Abstract

               ในปัจจุบันความเจริญในหลายๆ ด้าน โดยเฉพาะด้านวัตถุและเศรษฐกิจ ทำให้วิถีชีวิตและอาคารบ้านเรือนของคนไทยภาคกลางเปลี่ยนแปลงไป การเปลี่ยนแปลงนี้ไม่เพียงกระทบในด้านวัตถุเท่านั้น แต่รวมถึงด้านพฤติกรรมและการปฏิสัมพันธ์กันระหว่างผู้คนในชุมชน โดยเฉพาะในกรุงเทพมหานคร เมืองหลวงที่ผู้คนใช้ชีวิตกันอย่างเร่งรีบ ต่างคนต่างอยู่ ซึ่งแตกต่างจากชีวิตชาวไทยในอดีต ที่พักอาศัยส่วนใหญ่ในปัจจุบันเป็นการก่อสร้างด้วยระบบอุตสาหกรรมและวัสดุสมัยใหม่ มีรูปแบบที่ได้รับอิทธิพลจากประเทศแถบยุโรป ซึ่งอาคารสมัยใหม่เหล่านี้ ส่วนใหญ่ไม่เหมาะสมต่อสภาพภูมิประเทศภูมิอากาศของประเทศไทย นอกจากนั้นอาคารเหล่านี้ยังเป็นตัวกำหนดพฤติกรรมการใช้ชีวิตของผู้อยู่อาศัยให้เปลี่ยนไปเป็นแบบสังคมเมืองใหญ่

               โครงการทดลองออกแบบชิ้นนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะศึกษาลักษณะเรือนไทยและเรือนค้าขายในชุมชนไทยภาคกลาง โดยเฉพาะในด้านรูปแบบสถาปัตยกรรม การใช้พื้นที่ ความเหมาะสมกับวิถีชีวิตของผู้คน และความกลมกลืนกับสภาพแวดล้อม เพื่อนำมาทดลองออกแบบโครงการ “ที่พักอาศัยและพื้นที่ค้าขายอย่างไทยในกรุงเทพมหานคร” โดยมีเป้าหมายของการออกแบบเพื่อ นำข้อดีของสถาปัตยกรรมไทยในอดีตมาปรับใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์กับวิถีชีวิตแบบคนเมืองในปัจจุบัน โดยเฉพาะ การสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมให้ผู้ใช้โครงการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์กันมากขึ้น พร้อมกับการแสดงเอกลักษณ์ สถาปัตยกรรมไทยโดยใช้วัสดุและเทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่

               In the past before modernization took place in the Central region of Thailand, the traditional Thai houses and shop houses were the majority residential buildings of the urban Thai communities. These two building types had been developed for hundreds of year to suit with Thai culture, including its flood plain topography and tropical climate.

               Nowadays, in concerning, particularly in terms of material and economy, which force changes in Thai people’s ways of life and building styles. These changes, not only affect on material side but also people behaviour and relationship among people in the communities. Especially in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, where people live with repid and individually concern. The majority of modern residential buildings are in European style and built by using new materials and technology from industrial systems. Those buildings are not suitable for the topograhy and climate of Thailand. Moreover, they cause Thai people’s behaviour and ways of life changes to be the urban society.

               This design project aims to study the characteristics of the traditional Thai house and shop house of Thai communities in the Central region, in terms of building form and the use of space how they are appropriate to Thai society and environments. Then, using the information from the study to do experimental design project on “Thai style residential and commercial space in Bangkok”. The final design intends to create the new residential and commercial building project which encourage community relations and present the unique characteristics of Thai architecture by using modern materials and technology at the same time.
