ความงามในความเสื่อมสลาย (Beauty through Decadence)

Abstract

                การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานในชื่อชุด “ความงามในความเสื่อมสลาย” (Beauty through Decadence) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อถ่ายทอดมุมมองต่อโลก ผ่านแง่มุมมองของความงามและความเสื่อมสลายของสิ่งธรรมดาๆ ที่มีอยู่ในธรรมชาติ ผู้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานมีความมุ่งหมายสร้างผลงานศิลปะเครื่องเคลือบดินเผา เพื่อสะท้อนทัศนะในการมองเห็นความสวยงามในสรรพสิ่งต่างๆ ผ่านการหยุดช่วงเวลาของสรรพสิ่งนั้นไว้โดยอาศัยกระบวนเทคนิควิธีอันเฉพาะตนของผู้สร้างสรรค์  ทั้งนี้ผู้สร้างสรรค์ได้เลือกสรรและผสมผสานเทคนิคกระบวนวิธีทางเครื่องเคลือบดินเผาหลากหลายวิธี มาใช้ในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน เพื่อสะท้อนมุมมองทางปรัชญา สามารถช่วยสะท้อนจิตวิญญาณแห่งคุณค่าที่แท้จริงของสรรพสิ่ง โดยผ่านภาพหยุด ณ ขณะหนึ่งในกระบวนการเฝ้าสังเกตความเสื่อมสลายในธรรมชาติ เพื่อเป็นเครื่องกระตุ้นเตือนถึงแนวความคิดหลักในเรื่อง “อนัตตา” อันเป็นหลักคำสอนในพุทธปรัชญา ชี้ให้เห็นความจริงขั้นพื้นฐานที่สุดของ “ความงามอันไม่สมบูรณ์แบบ” ตามหลักปรัชญา “วาบิ-ซาบิ

                The purpose of the creation of this work under the name “Beauty through Decadence” is to capture the perspective of the creator towards the world. This is done through beauty and decay of the ordinaries in nature. The creator aim to create ceramic works to reflect the beauty that is seen in matters and things by suspending the time within things with personal technique invented by the creator. All in all the creator has chosen and combined various ceramic technique to create this work to reflect philosophical thoughts on genuine spirits of things through the suspension of time in which the creator observes the decadent within nature. This is to reminds us of the concept of “Anatta”, the buddhist philosophy which points out the very reality of “imperfection of beauty” as told in “wabi-sabi” philosophy.
