History of the Journal
The Journal of Public Health Research, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, was established to serve as a scholarly platform for publishing academic articles and research findings in the fields of science and technology, with a particular emphasis on Public Health and Health Sciences. The journal aims to disseminate high-quality research in health promotion, environmental health, occupational health and safety, health education, health behavior, public health administration, epidemiology, nursing, community health, and nutrition.
The journal published its inaugural issue in 2012 (B.E. 2555). At that time, it was published twice annually, with Issue 1 covering January–June and Issue 2 covering July–December.
On 28 May 2018, the Journal of Public Health Research, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, was officially accepted for inclusion in the Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI), Tier 2, following a successful journal quality evaluation.
The journal is currently edited by Associate Professor Dr. Nopparat Songserm, who serves as the Editor-in-Chief.
Aims and Scope
The Journal of Public Health Research is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing original research and scholarly work in Public Health and Health Sciences.

Objectives
The journal serves as a platform for disseminating high-quality research and academic knowledge in Public Health and Health Sciences. It promotes the exchange of scientific evidence and innovations that improve public health practice, education, policy, and research.
Publication Frequency
The journal is published three issues per year:
- Issue 1: January–April
- Issue 2: May–August
- Issue 3: September–December
Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is evaluated independently by at least three expert reviewers, with both reviewers and authors remaining anonymous throughout the review process.
Types of Articles
1. Original Articles
Original Articles report the results of original research related to Public Health and Health Sciences. Topics include environmental health sciences, occupational health and safety, health education and health promotion, epidemiology and biostatistics, nutrition, public health administration, and related disciplines. Recommended length: Not more than 10 A4 pages.
2. Review Articles
Review Articles provide comprehensive and critical syntheses of current knowledge on a specific topic based on published literature from national and international sources. The review should integrate existing evidence into new perspectives and include the author's critical analysis, interpretation, and recommendations. Topics may include environmental health sciences, occupational health and safety, health education and health promotion, epidemiology and biostatistics, nutrition, public health administration, and related fields. Recommended length: Not more than 5 A4 pages.
3. Special Articles
Special Articles present scholarly opinions or perspectives on contemporary issues relevant to Public Health and Health Sciences. They should provide insightful discussions linking current events or emerging phenomena of public interest with scientific knowledge and professional practice. Topics include environmental health sciences, occupational health and safety, health education and health promotion, epidemiology and biostatistics, nutrition, public health administration, and related disciplines. Recommended length: Not more than 5 A4 pages.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must certify that the submitted manuscript:
- Is an original work that has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
- Accurately reports research findings without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.
- Is written according to accepted academic standards.
- Properly acknowledges and cites all referenced sources.
- Follows the journal's Instructions for Authors regarding manuscript preparation and reference formatting.
- Lists only individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research as authors.
For research involving human participants or experimental animals, authors are required to submit a copy (PDF or scanned file) of the approval certificate from an accredited Research Ethics Committee together with the manuscript.

Publication Fee
- The manuscript processing fee is 3,000 Thai Baht (THB 3,000) per manuscript. The fee is payable only once after the manuscript has successfully passed the initial editorial screening conducted by the Editorial Board of the Journal of Public Health Research, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University. Authors are requested to make the payment only after receiving an official payment notification from the journal.
- Payment of the manuscript processing fee does not guarantee acceptance or publication of the manuscript. All submitted manuscripts must successfully complete the journal's editorial evaluation and peer-review process in accordance with the journal's publication policy before they can be accepted for publication.,
- If a manuscript is rejected following the editorial and peer-review process, the publication fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
- The publication fee should be transferred to the following bank account: Account Name: Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University (Journal of Public Health Research) Account Number: 441-1-31175-9. After completing payment, authors must upload proof of payment to the discussion thread for their submitted manuscript in the ThaiJO online submission system.
