Publication Ethics

The journal is dedicated to disseminating academic and research works concerning infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, health risks, and related fields. We focus on disease surveillance, prevention, and control. The journal serves as a professional medium for the exchange of knowledge and information among academics and public health personnel, as well as the public.

Roles and Responsibilities of Authors
1. Authors must certify that the submitted work is original, has not been previously published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by any other journal. Manuscripts must not be republished or redistributed after being published in this journal.
2. Authors must report findings accurately and honestly, without falsifying or manipulating data.
3. Authors must ensure their work is entirely original. All sources used in the research must be appropriately cited and referenced.
4. Manuscripts must be prepared strictly in accordance with the “Instructions for Authors”.
5. All individuals listed as authors must have made a significant contribution to the research.
6. Authors must submit and revise their manuscripts exclusively through the ThaiJO online system.

Roles and Responsibilities of Editors
1. Editors are responsible for evaluating the completeness, format, and overall quality of manuscripts before initiating the peer review process.
2. Editors hold the authority to accept or reject manuscripts for publication based on the peer review results and the journal’s scope.
3. Editors must not alter the content of the manuscript or the reviewers’ evaluations without valid justification.
4. Editors must monitor for plagiarism. If any form of plagiarism is detected, the review process must be halted immediately, and the author contacted for clarification.
5. Editors must maintain the confidentiality of both authors and peer reviewers throughout the process.
6. Editorial decisions must be based on academic merit rather than subjective judgment or uncertainty.
7. Editors must evaluate manuscripts based on their intellectual content without regard to the author’s race, gender, religion, political philosophy, or institutional affiliation.
8. Editors must remain free from any conflicts of interest with authors or reviewers.
9. Editors must strictly adhere to the journal's established policies and procedures.
10. Editors are committed to maintaining and improving the journal's standards to reflect current and innovative knowledge.
11. Official acceptance letters will be issued only after the authors have satisfactorily addressed all required revisions.
12. For rejected manuscripts, authors will be notified in writing. Manuscripts and fees (if any) will not be returned. The editorial board’s decision is final and cannot be appealed.

Roles and Responsibilities of Reviewers
1. Reviewers must treat all manuscripts received as confidential documents and must not disclose any information to third parties.
2. Reviewers should only accept manuscripts within their field of expertise.
3. Reviewers must complete their evaluations within the timeframe specified by the journal.
4. Reviewers must not use information or ideas from the manuscripts they review for personal gain or claim them as their own work.
