ปัญหาและความต้องการความรู้การปฐมพยาบาลผู้สูงอายุในผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุ

การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพแบบปรากฏการณ์วิทยาเชิงพรรณนาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์วิจัยเพื่อศึกษาปัญหาและความต้องการความรู้การปฐมพยาบาลผู้สูงอายุในผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุ ผู้ให้ข้อมูล คือ ผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุเขตเทศบาลบางแก้ว จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ จำนวน 5 คน เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แนวคำถามเชิงคุณภาพ สนทนากลุ่ม และสังเกตแบบไม่มีส่วนร่วม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยวิธีวิเคราะห์แก่นสาระ ผลวิจัย พบว่า
ปัญหาและความต้องการเกี่ยวกับความรู้ด้านการปฐมพยาบาลผู้สูงอายุในผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุ มี 4 ธีม ได้แก่ 1) ประสบการณ์ในการดูแลผู้สูงอายุที่มีปัญหาสุขภาพ เช่น เวียนศีรษะ บ้านหมุน หกล้ม และชัก เป็นต้น 2) ความรู้และทักษะปฐมพยาบาลที่มีอยู่ เช่น การทำแผลขนาดเล็ก วัดความดันโลหิต เจาะน้ำตาลปลายนิ้ว และการสังเกตอาการผิดปกติ 3) ความต้องการด้านความรู้ในการปฐมพยาบาลผู้สูงอายุ เช่น การปฐมพยาบาลในปัญหาที่พบจริงการอบรมที่เน้นการปฏิบัติจริง การจัดอบรมกลุ่มเล็ก หรืออบรมโดยผู้สอนที่คุ้นเคย เป็นต้น และ 4) ความคาดหวังในการพัฒนาความรู้: ผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุทุกคนควรได้รับโอกาสเข้าร่วมอบรมผู้ดูแล โดยเน้นรูปแบบแบบลงมือฝึกทักษะการปฐมพยาบาลด้วยตัวเองเพื่อให้ทำเป็น ก่อนที่จะส่งต่อไปยังโรงพยาบาล
ดังนั้นข้อมูลจากการวิจัยครั้งนี้จะสามารถนำไปใช้ประกอบเป็นข้อมูลพื้นฐานในการออกแบบหลักสูตรอบรมการปฐมพยาบาลเบื้องต้นที่เหมาะสมกับสถานการณ์และความต้องการเฉพาะของผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุในจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ
