Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 16-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Images in an article are not copyrighted (if copyrighted, the author is responsible. Journal is not responsible for all cases).
  • Please enter your 'phone number' and 'first name author prefix + First Name of the author (It is necessary to include in the publication form)' in the box "Comments for the Editor"

Author Guidelines

The Region 11 Medical Journal aims to publish high-quality academic articles that meet international standards in the fields of medicine and public health, including Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, Health Sciences, Public Health, and other related fields such as Alternative Medicine. The journal accepts original research articles in both Thai and English that have not been previously published elsewhere. The journal is published three times a year.

          7. The English abstract and manuscript have been proofread and verified by a language expert.

Manuscript Formatting and Typography

  1. Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word.
    2. Paper Size: A4
              3. Use TH SarabunPSK font (16 pt) for both Thai and English text.
              4. The text must be single-spaced.
              5. Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides. Alignment: Left-aligned (unjustified right margin).
              6. Page numbers must be placed in the upper right corner of every page.
              7. References must be formatted according to the Vancouver style.
              8. References must be up-to-date, preferably published within the last 10 years.
              9. The manuscript should be written primarily in Thai. English terms should only be used if they are untranslatable or if a Thai translation would obscure the meaning. For the first mention, provide a Thai explanation followed by the English term in parentheses; thereafter, the English term may be used throughout the article.

o Case report Should be an unusual case report. Involves a rare or novel disease/syndrome that has never been reported before. Includes cases with atypical clinical manifestations or unusual disease progression. (Suggested Sequence)
          o Title Page
          o Abstract word should not exceed 250 words
          o Key words (should not exceed 5 words.)
          o Introduction to Conclusion word should not exceed 2,000 words.

References

The journal’s reference style using Vancouver’s International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (1982). All references are in English.

  1. Cite someone else work by using Arabic numerical, superscript, in-text citation and sequentially order. Reference number will be same number when citation in the whole document.
  2. Journal abbreviation follow Index Medicus list. Check journal abbreviation from: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nlmcatalog. Thai journal has no abbreviation but using full Thai journal’s name instead.
  3. Authors name and number; for articles with 1 to 6 authors, list all authors. For articles with more than 6 authors, list the first 6 authors then add ", et al".
  4. Enter author's family name followed by no more than 2 initials then a comma and a full stop at the end of name list.
