A 31-year-old pregnant with Limb Body Wall Complex (LBWC) : a case report
Keywords:
Limb Body Wall Complex, Abdominal wall defectAbstract
We reported a case of a 31-year-old primi-gravida. She presented to Langsuan Hospital for routine antenatal check up.Ultrasonography was performed due to uterine fundus larger than
gestational age and revealed live fetus with 15 weeks of gestation by BPD, HC and FL measurements. The scan also revealed fetal scoliosis with a large abdominal wall defect.Kidneys, pelvic organs and
genitalia were difficult to identify and right lower limb was absent. After therapeutic termination of pregnancy, the abnormalities were confirmed and short umbilical cord with single umbilical artery was also mentioned. No abnormalities were found at karyotypic examination (46, XY). This case study was a placento-abdominal adhesion phenotype of a Limb Body Wall Complex (LBWC).
