ULTRASOUND GUIDED PERCUTANEOUS NEPHROSTOMY (ONE STAB TECHNIQUE)

The purpose of this paper is to report our experience of ultrasound-guided percutaneous nephrostomy (PCN)by using one stab or direct PCN technique. A retrospective review of 307 patients who underwent PCN over 4 years was carried out. The success rate and complications were recorded. The overall success rate was 93.4%;100% in severe hydronephrosis,93.9% in moderate hydronephrosis and 75% in mild hydronephrosis. The major oomplication rate were 4.6 % and
14.6% in minor complication rate. The lower success rate and higher complication rate was reported in cases with mild hydronephrosis
