การรักษาคลองรากฟันซ้ำแบบไม่ผ่าตัดในฟันที่ล้มเหลวจากการรักษาซ้ำ ด้วยวิธีผ่าตัดปลายรากฟัน : รายงานผู้ป่วย

รายงานผู้ป่วยฉบับนี้แสดงถึงทางเลือกการรักษาคลองรากฟันซ้ำแบบไม่ผ่าตัด ในฟันที่ล้มเหลวจากการรักษาซ้ำโดยการ ผ่าตัดปลายรากฟัน ผู้ป่วยมาด้วยอาการสำคัญคือ ปวดบวมเป็นๆหายๆในฟันตัดหน้าบนข้างด้านซ้าย ซึ่งอาการเคยดีขึ้นหลังการผ่าตัดรอบปลายรากฟัน จากภาพรังสีแสดงให้เห็นถึงคุณภาพวัสดุอุดคลองรากฟันที่ไม่ดีร่วมกับการมีวัสดุ
อุดย้อนปลายรากฟันและสัมพันธ์กับรอยโรครอบปลายรากฟัน หลังจากการรักษาโดยการรื้อรักษาคลองรากฟันซ้ำและทำการติดตามผลเป็น ระยะเวลา 1 ปีพบว่าอาการทางคลินิกหายไป โดยยังคงมีวัสดุอุดย้อนปลายรากฟันอยู่ ประเมินผลการรักษาถือว่ามีความสำเร็จ ในผู้ป่วยรายนี้สามารถหลีกเลี่ยงการผ่าตัดปลายรากฟันซ้ำทำให้ยังคงความยาวรากฟันเดิมได้ ดังนั้นการรักษาคลองรากฟัน แบบ ไม่ผ่าตัดอาจเป็นทางเลือกหนึ่งก่อนที่จะทำการผ่าตัดปลายรากฟันซ้ำ
