This research aims to study the effectiveness of program about information, motivation and skills development on face down positioning in post operation of vitreous and retina surgery. Patients receive gas tamponade also they have to face down position after surgery. This study is quasi-experimental research which is one group pretest-posttest design. During the period from October 1, 2017 to January 31, 2018. Number of sample is 20. The equipment to
explore is information-motivation-behavioral skills program on face down positioning in post operation of vitreous and retina surgery. The equipment to collect information is survey. To test patient understanding about post-operative care. The researcher tested patients by using survey before apply program. After finished testing and applying the interviewer observed behavior on face down position in post operation of vitreous and retina surgery for a week.
Result : 1. Patients have knowledge about disease, treatment, post retina operative care and behavioral on face down position after apply program at a high level which is 80 - 95%.
2. Behavioral on face down position after surgery for a week. Patients can face down regularly and maximum is greater-than or equal to 16 hours per day.
