Abstract

Excessive gingival display is one of the most common problems affecting smile esthetics. Several therapeutic modalities have been designed for correction of unpleasant smiles. Esthetic crown lengthening is usually considered surgery when altered passive eruption is diagnosed. Many clinicians select one or more surgical procedures due to proposed classification for achievement of proper gingival component. In this case report, a 29-year-old female patient was diagnosed with altered passive eruption. Apically positioned flap and resective osseous surgery were planned for crown lengthening techniques. All clinical procedures were revealed and satisfied outcome was discussed after 6 months post-operatively.
