COVID-19 infection in An ESRD patient undergoing Chronic Peritoneal Dialysis: The first case report in Thailand

Abstract Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a rapidly spreading disease causing increased mortality in Thailand and worldwide. WHO declared the novel coronavirus outbreak as a pandemic. The preexisting medical conditions increase the risk of mortality with COVID-19; however, the outcome of this disease in traditionally chronic illnesses such as end-stage renal disease is not well documented. This reports, we present a case of end-stage renal disease on the continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis who presented predominantly with infected peritoneal dialysis effluent and subsequently found to have COVID-19. This report shows treatment information problems including peritoneal dialysis prescription and management guidelines for treating COVID-19 end-stage renal disease patients on peritoneal dialysis.
