Removal of Broken Instrument in Root canal treatment: A Case Report

Abstract

          Broken root canal instrument is one of the most troublesome incidents in root canal treatment. The broken instrument may hinder cleaning and shaping procedures with potential impact on prognosis of treatment. This case report presents the removal of a broken file in apical one third of root canal in Maxillary left lateral incisor by the bypass technique. Using ultrasonic method with root canal irrigation and root canal obturation. After 6 months follow-up demonstrates reduction of periapical lesion and no sign and symptoms of clinical examination. This case report present a treatment strategy that improves the healing outcomes.
