Abstract

Contact dermatitis is a common skin disease. Chronic contact dermatitis can effect both physical and mental illness. Holistic approach in treatment is to avoid the causative allergens. Contact Allergen Avoidance Program (CAAP) is a program which collects data of each specific skin product ingredients sold in Thailand as well as Thai herbal products. The purpose of this program is not only to help physicians find suspected allergens in products but also to assist physicians in recommending products of choice to patients. CAAP has been used for more than 7 years. Evaluation from dermatologists is that CAAP is easy to use and is practical in treating patients with contact dermatitis. Nowadays, CAAP is widely used.
