Abstract

Retinoids were found in natural dietary products. High dosage of retinoids is required for therapeutic efficacy in many skin disorders but unacceptable toxicity is the main problem. Synthetic retinoids have been developed to increase the therapeutic efficacy and decrease side effects of retinoids. Currently the details of clinical applications including toxicity ofretinoids were reviewed.
