Wound Dressings in Dermatology

Dressing material is an important part of wound care. The development of modern wound healing concepts which moist environment is imperative in healing process make various types of advance wound care products available. Dermatologist should understand fundamental of wound characteristics and choice of appropriate dressings. This literature review aims to collect the current knowledge in dressing materials, types, and characteristic of each material. In addition, we focus on how medical practitioner should consider when choosing the dressing materials.
