THE GUIDELINES FOR DEVELOPMENT IN SPORTS INNOVATION AND VALUE ADDED IN SPORT INDUSTRY

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the guidelines for development in sports innovation and construction of value added in sport industry. The data collection was conducted by the in-depth interview from a panel of seven experts. The semi-structured interview form,     the content validity (IOC) of which was found at 0.87, was used as a tool of data collection.
The data was then analyzed by a descriptive method in relation to concept, theory, and research theoretical framework for exploring the guidelines for development in sports innovation and value added in sport industry. The data analysis results were examined by a focus group method from
a panel of seven experts in sports science, physical education, sports technology, innovation, sports management and entrepreneurs in sports business for evaluation of appropriateness, feasibility and benefits of the constructed model. The findings revealed as the following:


         The guidelines for development in sports innovation and value added in sport industry consisted of seven stages: innovation design, innovation construction and development,
innovation quality examination, innovation try-out, innovation evaluation, innovation publication, and construction of value added in innovation. In conclusion, not only the research results can be used as the guidelines for development in sports innovation in order to make income and value added in sport industry; but also, it can be applied to learning and teaching management for creating sports innovation in an effective way so as to develop the quality of education.
