EXERCISE BEHAVIOR OF LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS OF WATSRIVITED SANGKARAM SCHOOL IN SADAO DISTRICT, SONGKHLA PROVINCE

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to study exercise behavior of lower secondary school students and to compare exercise behaviors of lower secondary school students at Watsrivited Sangkaram School, classified by gender and grade level, by collecting data with 130 students using simple random methods. Data collected by 53 students in the first, 34 students in the second, and 34 students in the third years. Data was gathered using a questionnaire consisting of four parts: part 1, personal data of students, part 2, exercise knowledge of students in 10 items, part 3, questionnaire on attitudes toward exercise of students, a rating scale of 3 level, consisting of 20 items and part 4, questionnaires about exercise performance of students 20 a scale estimation model with 3 levels, consisting of 19 items. Data were analyzed using basic statistics (mean and standard deviation), Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient analysis, and 2-way ANOVA.
The results showed that 1) lower secondary school students at Watsrivited Sangkaram School, had a score of knowledge exercise behavior at a moderate level. In terms of attitude, they had an average score at a good level, and an average score of exercise performance at a moderate level. 2) there was a significant relationship between the exercise attitude and performance at the 0.05 level with a low level of correlation and 3) gender and grade levels variables, interacted, resulting in exercise behavior of students in knowledge and attitude were significantly different at the 0.05 level while the performance was not different.
