THE ANALYSIS OF PENCAK SILAT SKILLS USE IN SEA GAMES (2007 - 2013)

Abstract
The purpose of this study is analysis about using Pencak silat skill on competition in Sea Games (2007 - 2013). The subject of the study were 60 people 40 menand 20 women. Selected by purposive sampling. Choose from Pencak silat athletes that have wonin Sea Games about 15 models. The in struments employed in this study were the program equipment set for analyze sport skill (Performance Analysis) Sport Code Elite model then take the data analysis about using skill which have scored and then save data on score record for statistical information by frequency and percentage. The research results showed that
- The results of analysis Pencak silat skill which have scored of athletes that have won on the competition found that are used 6 skills from all 10 skills include 1. Boxing 2. Askew kicking 3. Shoving 4. Falling by hand 5. Falling by foot 6. Falling by hand and foot in all models weight, men and women. While smashing skill, hitting, side kicking and turn back kicking found that none score from skill using in all models weight, men and women.
- Straight punch boxing is arms that can be done quickly and high precision. It makes a competitor be difficult to protect oneself. It’s also possible to use the technique to play two beat well.
- Askew kicking is the skill to attack a competitor almost in every phase. It can see clearly result and it also creates another wound but athletes must be careful of the competitor use handle to falling down along rules, so the athlete must be quick to kick for snatch the advantage.
- Straight shoving is another good skill to used when as a reception or intercepted trespass attack of competitor in all phase and be fast and accurate to action with competitor's goal. It is another skill that international Pencak silat athletes used to get the most effect.
- Falling by hand and falling by foot are skill that need to wait for second beat, have to wait the competitor release arms then catch leg to falling down, also can pinch jump with two feet behind and two front feet will cause damage to the game.
