FACTORS AFFECTING THE DECISION TO STUDY IN THE BACHELOR OF EDUCATION PROGRAM IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION OF THAILAND NATIONAL SPORTS UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN THE CENTRAL REGION CAMPUSES, ACADEMIC YEAR 2021

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to study the current factors and predict factors affecting the decision to study in the Bachelor of Education Program in Physical Education of Thailand National Sports University Students in the Central Region Campuses of the Academic Year 2021. The population of this research was 570 current students at the Faculty of Education, in Physical Education, Thailand National Sports University Campus in Central Region, Academic Year 2021; and 140 samples were obtained using a stratified sampling method. There were 7 variables in this research and each was assigned a sample of 20 times the variable. The research instrument used was a questionnaire on Factors Affecting the Decision to Study in the Bachelor of Education Program in the Physical Education Branch of Thailand National Sports University Students in the Central Region Campuses, Academic year 2021, which was a 5-level rating scale, comprising 7 variable aspects: university image; location; supporting for teaching and learning facilities; faculty and university personnel; curriculum; public relations; and overall welfare. The statistics used in the data analysis were: mean; standard deviation; Pearson product - moment correlation coefficient; and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis.
Results indicated as follows: 1) the factors of university image, location, facilities, faculty and university personnel, curriculum, public relations and welfare were statistically significantly positive at the .01 level. 2) Factors Affecting the Decision to Study in the Bachelor of Education Program in Physical Education of Thailand National Sports University Students in the Central Region Campuses, Academic Year 2021 were 3 factors: facilities, location and university image. They predicted the decision making at 69.40 percent, and the coefficient of the predictor variable was written in the equation in the form of a raw score, which is; Y/ = 0.899 + 0.451(X3) + 0.187(X2) + 0.181(X1) and in the form of a standard score is; Z/Y = 0.518(ZX3) + 0.228(ZX2) + 0.188(ZX1)
