DEVELOPMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION LEARNING MANAGEMENT MODEL FOR ENHANCING THE COMPETENCY OF STUDENTS AT THAILAND NATIONAL SPORTS UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the problem of student competence, and to find learning management in Physical education guidelines for enhancing student competence. The research procedures were divided into 3 steps: 1) Study the problem and learner competency from concepts, theories and related articles, and semi – structured interview of 10 experts, 2)to analyze questions in the questionnaire by using the Modified Delphi technique from the opinions of 19 experts  and 3) to evaluate and confirm the development of a learning management model from the same set of 10 experts.


          The research results were found that 1. There were still many problems at Thailand National Sports University i.e., physical education instructors were not sufficient to manage learning and had less experience in teaching, resulting in inadequate activities in the learning process for learners. Regarding support, digital media was still incomplete and insufficient for personnel. The curriculum needs to be improved and developed. The executives should have to review to have a system that is possible 2. the appropriate learner competencies from the synthesis of documents confirmed by experts consisted of 6 aspects: 1) communication and use of technology 2) morality and ethics 3) knowledge and academics 4) personality, interpersonal relationships, and responsibilities 5) Physical education skills and 6) Research 3. The form of learning management was accepted by experts. Those involved in physical education were found to be the most appropriate for all 6 components, 64 indicators: including 1) Physical education curriculum 2) Management resources 3) Management 4) Learning Process 5) Measurement and Evaluation and 6) Learning outcomes and get a possible model that can be used in best practice at Thailand National Sports University.
