Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • This manuscript has not been previously published, nor is it currently under consideration by any other journal (unless a specific explanation is provided in the Comments to the Editor).
  • The submitted manuscript file must be prepared exclusively in Microsoft Word document format (.doc or .docx).
  • URLs or DOIs for the references have been provided where available.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 16-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses) and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The manuscript adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Please provide a valid contact phone number for the corresponding author in the "Comments for the Editor" section.

Author Guidelines

The Health Science Clinical Research (HSCR) journal welcomes the submission of high-quality academic papers in the fields of health sciences and medicine. To ensure an efficient review process and adhere to international publishing standards, authors are requested to prepare their manuscripts according to the following guidelines:


◈ 1. Types of Articles The journal considers three main types of articles:

  • Original Articles: Novel research findings, not exceeding 15 pages in length.

  • Review Articles: Comprehensive analyses of current literature on a specific topic, not exceeding 15 pages in length.

  • Case Reports: Reports of interesting, rare, or educational clinical cases, not exceeding 10 pages in length.


◈ 2. Manuscript Formatting

  • File Format: Microsoft Word document (.docx).

  • Font: TH Sarabun PSK or TH Sarabun New, size 16 pt.

  • Page Setup: A4 size (8.27 x 11.69 inches) with 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides.

  • Line Spacing: Single spacing.

  • Blind Review: Authors must remove their names and affiliations from the main manuscript file to ensure a double-blind peer review process.


◈ 3. Manuscript Structure The manuscript should be organized in the following order:

  1. Title: Both Thai and English.

  2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s): Clear identification of full names and institutional affiliations (provided in a separate Title Page file).

  3. Abstract: Both Thai and English, not exceeding 250 - 300 words.

  4. Keywords: 3 - 5 keywords (Thai and English).

  5. Main Text: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.

  6. Acknowledgements: (If applicable).

  7. References: Formatted according to the Vancouver style.


◈ 4. Research Ethics

  • Human Research: Articles involving human subjects must indicate approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee, including the Certificate of Approval (COA) number in the "Materials and Methods" section.

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest.


◈ 5. Citation and Reference Style The HSCR journal strictly adheres to the Vancouver Style. In-text citations should be indicated by Arabic numerals consecutively in the order of appearance.

◈ 6. Standard Reporting Guidelines The HSCR journal strongly encourages authors to adhere to the EQUATOR Network reporting guidelines to enhance the quality and transparency of their research:

  • Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs): CONSORT statement

  • Systematic Reviews: PRISMA statement

  • Observational Studies: STROBE statement

  • Case Reports: CARE guidelines


◈ 7. Authorship and AI Policy

  • Authorship Criteria: All listed authors must meet the authorship criteria defined by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

  • Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) cannot be listed as an author. If AI tools are used for language editing or data analysis, authors must transparently disclose their use in the Materials and Methods or Acknowledgements section.


◈ 8. Plagiarism Policy All submitted manuscripts will undergo a similarity check using Turnitin or equivalent software. The HSCR journal strictly enforces a maximum overall similarity index of 20% (and no more than 5% from any single source). Manuscripts exceeding this limit will be returned for revision or rejected outright.


◈ 9. Submission and Fees

  • Submission Channel: Authors can submit their manuscripts online via the ThaiJO system under the "Make a Submission" menu.

  • Publication Fees: The HSCR journal charges no publication fee for manuscript submission, processing, or publication (Open Access).
