Abstract

The new year 2022 has come along with the release of this issue, the Journal of Chulabhorn Royal Academy (JCRA) Volume 4, Number 1. We continue to strive for maintaining an international standards for academic and research presentations and exchanges for our intellectual community.

For this issue, we would like to express our gratitude to Associate Professor Dr. Juthamas Sattayawiwat for sharing with us an invited valuable article, namely, “Andrographis Paniculate: from Integrated Research to Clinical Use as Anti COVID-19.” This article reflects support from the Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI) by means of collecting needed herbs from the Siam Ruby Village 05’s cultivation, which is one of the projects under the patronage of Professor Dr. H.R.H. Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, all of the processes were strictly developed in the CRI Laboratory, using scientific research methods. The lab and clinical trial had been done with both animals and volunteer subjects, employing international guidelines in order to use Andrographis Paniculate for treating the COVID-19 infected patients. There are recommendations for further studies as well.

Though the “New Normal” life may be familiar to most of us now. The Covid-19 keeps on mutating from variance to variance. This volume of JCRA still presents articles related to the specific influencing viruses, for examples, the “Folk Wisdom of Thai Traditional Medicine and Its Use as Products”; The use of mRNA vaccine impacted on people entitled “Myocarditis and Pericarditis After mRNA Vaccination Against COVID-19”, and, “A Touchless Communication in Medicine” under the concepts of isolation towards pandemic disease. Besides “Imaging Findings in Physical Child Abuse” is an interesting issue for tracing back to diagnosing illness.

As always, the editorial board welcomes every suggestion, opinion, papers from all academicians. We wish all your dreams come true with the new year.
