Surveillance, Prevention and Control of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), Mental Health Status and Quality of Life Among Village Health Volunteers in Health Region 8 of Thailand

The cross-sectional analytical research aimed to specify the mental health situation, quality of life level, and the relationship between mental health status and quality of life of village health volunteers in health region 8 of Thailand. The samples were 880 health personnel randomly selected by systematic random sampling of the village health volunteers in health region 8 of Thailand. The relationship between quality of life factors was analyzed by using Multilevel logistic regression. The results revealed that factors associated with low quality of life were moderate-high stress ( = 2.52; 95% CI: 1.64 - 3.29), moderate-severe ( = 4.72; 95% CI: 4.01 - 8.16), difficulty at work ( = 1.80;95% CI: 1.01 - 1.93) sample who has a monthly expense between 10,001 - 20,000 baht ( = 1.93; 95% CI: 1.07 - 2.49), and 10,000 baht ( = 1.63; 95% CI: 1.11 - 2.38) Minor illness creates a possibility ( = 1.98;95%CI: 1.15 - 3.41), never receiving health promotion services ( = 1.80; 95% CI: 1.16 - 2.22), responsible for more than 2 jobs ( = 1.62;95%CI: 1.00 - 2.64). The importance of compensation for their work, states not important-moderately ( = 2.20; 95% CI: 1.54 - 3.14). Expected to receive compensation for their work ( = 2.59; 95%CI: 1.74 - 3.84). Feeling towards colleagues, moderate-highest ( =1.51 ;95%CI: 1.06 - 2.15). Stress and depression were highly influencing the quality of life which should give importance to creating understanding and managing stress and depression appropriately. Promote good quality of life of village health volunteers in health region 8 of Thailand.
