Stress and Stress Management in First-time Fathers in the Situation of the COVID-19: Role of Nurse-Midwife

First-time fathers are one of the people that the midwife is the most important. Because those who are directly involved in the health care of wife and child during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum periods. Especially during the COVID-19 epidemic, wife and family must be expected to take care of their wife and children, including have to a new role change the psychological, emotional, social and spiritual, and responsibilities to taking care of the wife during pregnancy, childbirth, after childbirth, including taking care of the newborn and parent in everyday life, including money to support the family and the lightening of the wife's housework cause anxiety and stress, which if fathers who are having children for the first time use inappropriate stress management methods may have effect to physical, mental, and family. Therefore, receiving support and help from people around us, especially midwives. This is important because it will help first-time fathers in their new roles appropriately under the COVID-19 pandemic.
