Development of Home Isolation Care Model for Coronavirus 2019 Patients in Ban Nong Daeng Health Promoting Hospital Responsibilily Area, Mai Na-Paing Sub-District, Waeng Yai District, Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

   This action research aimed to study the situation, development care model of home isolation (HI) for coronavirus 2019 patients, and study the result of improving the model at Ban Nong Daeng Health Promoting Hospital responsibility area, Mai Na-Paing Sup-District, Waeng Yai District, Khon Kaen Province. Thirty-one participants from all stakeholders were selected via purposive sampling technique. Three phases were carried out group discussion, participatory observation, checklist, and satisfied questionnaires with 0.91 confidence intervals were employed for data collection. Content analysis was used for qualitative data, and descriptive statistics for quantitative data. Results revealed nine steps of model Home Isolation (HI). 1) People found an ATK test positive. 2) Infected case informed Village Health Volunteers (VHVs), community leaders, or health officers. 3) New cases be registered on the health service system. 4) Then, be investigated and allocated into two groups red group (High-risk group) was referred to the hospital, green group (Low-risk group) was assigned to the HI system.       5) Relatives, neighbours, and VHVs prepared an accommodation. 6) New cases be registered on the HI system. 7) Food, medicine, and medical supplies were taken to patients by relatives, neighbours, or VHVs 8) Proactive visit and calling for examination, recovery case be encouraged to follow quarantine guidelines, in the opposite, be referred
