Development of the Pharmaceutical Activity Recording Function and Providing Health Intervention Code in the iHospital Program, Outpatient Pharmacy, Khon Kaen Hospital

Abstract

This research aims to develop a function for recording pharmaceutical activities and providing Health Intervention Code in the iHospital program, outpatient pharmacy,Khon Kaen Hospital. The research format is research and development, with 3 phases of operation: Phase 1: Situation analysis. Phase 2: Design and development until the function meets the set objectives. Phase 3: Evaluation using a satisfaction assessment form that has been validated for instrument quality using index of item objective congruence. There were 24 participants in the study. It consisted of 19 outpatient pharmacy pharmacists, 4 information pharmacists, and 1 production pharmacist. The sample group was selected using a purposive sampling method. The study found that the iHospital program does not have any pharmacy functions. Therefore, the researchers developed functions in the iHospital program called Pharmacy Note & Pharmacy Notice. The development results in the functionality being achieved by Pharmacy Note for recording pharmaceutical activities and providing Health Intervention Code and Pharmacy Notice for recording pharmaceutical information in patients requiring monitoring. And when evaluating the satisfaction results from the responses of 22 people, which is 91.67 percent of all study participants, it was found that pharmacists were most satisfied with the Pharmacy Note and Pharmacy Notice functions. The pharmacists were satisfied with all evaluation criteria, including overall satisfaction with ease of use, data security, functionality, design, responsiveness, and system stability.
