The Effectiveness of Participatory Health literacy Model for Premature Pregnancy Prevention of Teenager

Abstract

This research aimed to the effectiveness of participatory health literacy model for prevention in premature pregnancy of teenager Pak Thong Chai district,Nakhon Ratchasima province. The samples consisted of 53 people by health literacy program. The research instruments were composed of the health literacy scale for unwanted pregnancy prevention of Thai female adolescents questionnaire pregnancy test and a questionnaire of satisfaction .The implementation and data collection were conducted from June to October, 2018. Statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and One way ANOVA with repeated measures.

The results revealed that 1) health literacy for prevention in premature pregnancy of teenager were increase by repeated measures. The comprehensive knowledge, accessibility of information and healthcare services, improving communication expertise, self-management of health conditions, acquaintance with media and information, making a right decision and capability for unwanted pregnancy prevention were significance difference at. <0.01; 2) after following, the samples had pregnancy test in urine were negative; and 3) after the experiment, the samples had an overall mean score of satisfaction with health literacy program at a highest level (=4.48 S.D.=.12).
