Success Factors in the Implementation of Quality Development of the Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital Tid Dao

Abstract

The present study aims at examining the factors that affect success in the implementation of quality development of the Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital Tid Dao as well as its problems and obstacles in the implementation in order to achieve the improvement of policy proposals and the support of the operations to achieve the goal. This research was conducted as a qualitative research study, operated from December 2017 to December 2018. The data collected were analyzed using an interview form designed by the researcher. A sample was selected from the Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital Tid Dao in 2017. This sample was composed of 7 places that get the starred- quality-improvement criteria for 2018 and was analyzed by content analysis.

The results of the study revealed that the factors that affect success in the implementation of quality development of the Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital Tid Dao were as follows: (1) the Corporate strategy (fixing goals, planning the operations and transferring into practice) (2) the organizational structure (functional grouping and duties assignment in a clear and pertinent way) (3) the operational system (managing in a systematic way, cooperating with network partners, studying the evaluation process, analyzing and completing the missing elements, exchanging knowledge and learning operational methods, developing quality continually, following the progress and evaluating the operations (4) the personnel perform duties well and are evaluated for work (5) the knowledge, skills, and abilities (personnel have good knowledge, good skills and abilities workwise), enhance the potential for their ability to perform their responsibilities. (6) the good organization of a convenient format (the director of the Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital gives importance, encourages and urges the personnel to work collaboratively and how important it is). (7) The personnel must also hold common values, such as determination, devotion, sincerity, teamwork, compassion and respect. For problems and obstacles, it appears that the budget is not enough, and the criteria is composed of too many details and not enough time for preparation.
