Guidelines for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Substance abuse Students in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Abstract

This action research have objective are to study drug abuse situations, study the knowledge, satisfaction and needs for drug treatment and rehabilitation programs and create guidelines for the treatment and rehabilitation of substance abuse students in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Research Instrument comprise as group discussion form, questionnaire, in-depth interview form and follow-up forms after treatment and rehabilitation. The sample group consisted of (1) drug addicted students 60 people (2) parents of substance abuse students 8 people (3) teachers of drug addict students 3 people. Quantitative data analysis by percentage, mean, qualitative data by data classification.

The results showed that (1) The urine examination of students found a positive result of 60 cases, mostly in male. The students want to provide organizing camps to educate students. Therefore has set up a project for youth leaders in Korat smart 4.0 (2) Before entering the project, students have knowledge about drugs. The overall is at a moderate level, but after joining the project, they are the highest level. (3) Most of them are satisfied with organizing activities in high level projects in all issues such as being satisfied with the activities in the project and the overall need is at the highest level in all issues such as activities in the project can also add more fun. (4) Guidelines for the treatment and rehabilitation of substance abuse students in Nakhon Ratchasima Province consists of 4 main components as follows: (1) Students must open mind to accept, should cooperate in therapy and rehabilitation (2) Educational institutions provide counseling activity for opportunities support therapy and rehabilitation (3) Parents need to encourage and giving advice to them. (4) Nakhon Ratchasima Health Provincial Office is the main unit for coordinating, monitoring and evaluating project, the part of guidelines for the treatment and rehabilitation of substance abuse students were developed should continue to be extended to other drug addicts.
