Abstract

This research is action research. The objective of this research was to develop the material management system: A case study of the Office of Disease Prevention and Control 9, Nakhon Ratchasima, divided into 4 steps as followings (1) to study the needs for analyzing the current trends of technology; (2) to design and develop the system; (3) to test and evaluate results of system development, take records of errors, suggest improvement; and (4) to improve quality assessment of system usage. The researcher carried out the data collection instrument by having a group discussion, and the population was 15 staff members of the procurement department.

The results of the research study were used to collect the needs, study possibilities from the technology in which the Office of Disease Prevention and Control 9, Nakhon Ratchasima has been currently using, summarized into the list on the timetable by using Requirements Traceability Matrix. As a result, the design and development were completely connected with the Test Case. If there was an error, it would be recorded and suggested the ways of solving respectively with SDLC (V-Shaped Life Cycle) theory. It was found that the officers’ mean satisfaction score was 4.02 with a standard deviation of .81, which was a high level; the users’ mean satisfaction score was 4.06 with a standard deviation of.91, was at a high level; and the admins’ mean satisfaction score was 4.59 with a standard deviation of .83, was at a moderate level. This research is an integration that leads to innovation through the design and development procedure, usage testing, error recording, determining details for improvement, and the framework briefing with suggestions on Term of Reference (TOR) in the future.
